Kiteleys Solicitors Donates £3,000 to Grounded Community After a Successful Charity of the Year Partnership
Kiteleys Solicitors is proud to announce the donation of £3,000 to Grounded Community, a Bournemouth-based charity dedicated to helping people reconnect with nature, food, and one another through sustainable growing and sharing initiatives. They also run a food bank and community kitchen service to help those in need.
The donation concludes Kiteleys’ year-long partnership with Grounded Community, selected as the firm’s Charity of the Year in recognition of the charity’s inspiring impact across Bournemouth.
A Year of Fundraising, Support, and Hands-On Volunteering
Kiteleys Solicitors volunteering in the Secret Garden
Throughout the year, Kiteleys staff took part in a variety of fundraising activities—including a sponsored walk, bake sale, food collections and more—to help raise vital funds and food bank supplies for the organisation.
In addition to fundraising, a group of Kiteleys team members recently volunteered at Grounded Community’s Secret Garden in Kings Park, rolling up their sleeves to help. The experience offered staff the chance to see firsthand how the charity’s projects bring people together and provide a welcoming space for learning and connection.
A Partnership Built on Shared Community Values
Sarah Townsend, Managing Director of Kiteleys Solicitors, explains why Kiteleys :
“We chose Grounded Community as our Charity of the Year because of the incredible difference they make right here in Bournemouth. Their work to bring people together, tackle food insecurity, and promote sustainable living really resonated with our team. Supporting local causes that strengthen our community is something we’re passionate about, and we’re delighted to contribute to Grounded Community’s important mission.”

Knowing that our mission resonated with you means the world to us — thank you for standing with us and helping Grounded grow more than just food.”
Supporting Sustainable Food, Education, and Community Connection
Grounded Community runs a wide range of initiatives that benefit local residents, including:
The Secret Garden at Kings Park, where people learn how to grow food sustainably
The Community Fridge, redistributing surplus food to reduce waste and support those in need
Workshops and education programmes, helping residents live more sustainably
The £3,000 donation from Kiteleys will support these ongoing projects, helping improve access to healthy food, reduce food waste and strengthen community ties across Bournemouth.
